"Meatballs"

Description

Walnuts and mushrooms are used to get that nice meaty taste in these delicious, Passover-friendly "meatballs".

Ingredients

2 cups
walnuts
2 cups
shitake mushrooms
2 cloves
garlic
1⁄2 cup
onion (chopped)
1 teaspoon
thyme
1⁄2 teaspoon
salt
1⁄2 cup
matzo meal
 
oil (for frying)

Instructions

1. Process mushrooms, walnuts, garlic and onion in a blender
2. Add spices and matzo meal and mix thoroughly
3. Heat oil in a frying pan
4. Roll into small meatballs and fry in oil until all sides are browned
5. Serve warm
