Fancy Biscuits


These biscuits would go perfectly with a hot bowl of Minute-strone Soup. Don't have time for soup? Toss them on a plate and spoon some vegan mushroom gravy over the top! Yum!

2 teaspoons
baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon
2 tablespoons
vegetable oil or shortening
1 cup
sour soy milk (soy milk + 1 tsp vinegar)
1⁄2 cup
green onions (chopped)
1 tablespoon
dried dill
1 teaspoon


Preheat oven to 450ºF. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the oil, sour milk, green onions, dill, and pepper and stir together gently until just mixed. Spoon into lightly oiled muffin tins. Bake for 12-18 minutes.
