This recipe is all you need to know when it comes to date syrup. Finally! A sweetener that is actually healthy. With just using dates and water, you will never miss honey again. Give it a go and use it in just about any recipe!
1. Put pitted dates in a pot and add water until dates are completely covered.
2. Bring water to a boil, then simmer for at least 30 minutes, until dates are soft.
3. Put the dates and any remaining water in a blender.
4. Add a splash of lemon juice. (optional)
Blend at high speed for 45-60 seconds, to desired consistency.
5. Store in refrigerator.
